Each year, Fort Wayne Foundry delivers more than 50 million pounds of aluminum sand castings to our customers, making us one of the largest aluminum sand casting operations in the United States.
 

Engineering

We specialize in understanding how to develop your idea into a manufacturable product. Our knowledgeable, experienced team of engineers and managers make it their jobs to understand your design needs.

Using the latest in 3D design software, we will work closely with customer engineering groups to fine tune your designs to make the highest quality product possible.

By using MAGMAsoft ®, a metal cast simulation filling and solidification software tool, we can detect areas for improvement upfront before the first casting is poured. Click on the box to the left to download a movie (in .avi format) showing a large fill application run through a cycle.

Prototyping

Prototyping is an integral part of our business. We understand the importance of producing a prototype that closely matches the final production casting and meets the tightest tolerance requirements. Ninety percent of our current production parts were prototyped at Fort Wayne Foundry.
